Pavo
of the Thousand Eyes

_-_Pavo is aware the abundance of eyes he possesses is quite unusual and he takes full advantage of the notice it brings him. He's trained himself to be an exquisitely graceful dancer and captivates audiences across the elemental lands, his artistic reputation so well-known that his performances invariably draw large crowds. He basks in the attention, encouraging each onlooker with every perfectly choreographed step, his beautiful finery and striking appearance further serving to keep their gazes fixed upon him.

_-_He often tours solo, but if the chance comes up he's typically willing to join a traveling troupe for a limited stint. The company makes for a nice change of pace, and while he enjoys the exclusive attention that being the sole dancer provides he also appreciates the challenge and creativity involved in being part of a group. Collaborating with others to figure out how best to exhibit each's skills for the benefit of the production is always an interesting exercise.

_-_Though Pavo genuinely enjoys dancing in front of others, he has another purpose behind his performances. The renown surrounding them tends to attract the well-to-do type of showgoer that deliberately dresses up for the occasion, and Pavo uses the opportunity to take note of which ones seem inattentive of their environment while simultaneously displaying the most appealing baubles for possible later appropriation. As he enthralls his watchers from the stage his many eyes scan over the crowd, too numerous for anyone to follow the gaze of all of them and notice where his focus truly lies. After a performance is over he switches from his usual finery to more inconspicuous attire, opting for something that obscures his unique features without limiting his increased vision by much, before shadowing his favored mark. He waits patiently for an appropriate moment to present itself, his extra eyes ensuring no one surprises him during the process. Sometimes his chance comes when his target's attention is drawn elsewhere and he expertly lifts his desired item from their person unnoticed, while other times he trails them to wherever they're staying and waits until they've turned in for the evening before silently absconding with the valuable he most covets.

_-_Despite Pavo's love of beautiful things, he exercises restraint in his clandestine activities. He only secures a single item from each mark and never visits more than a handful total in any given area he travels to, not wanting to arouse anyone's suspicions about the connection between the victims and his performances. Even with such self-imposed limitations though he's successful enough in his endeavors to live an exceedingly comfortable life.
