We're not afraid
Terrors of night
Arrows that fly by day
Ten thousand may fall
But we, we will remain

We're taking back our freedom
Our battle has been won
We have been liberated
Back from the dead, we've come

She heard the sounds of war raging all around her. Archers stringing their bows, the metal clang of swords being drawn. She heard the shuffling of talons and the fear inducing war cries of the opposing force. She could feel the fear engulfing her clan, she could sense that they were paralyzed between their loyalty and their terror, frozen in place with granite talons. And then one by one, they fell.

She was young, the youngest in her clan. Her youth didn't allow her the sweet bliss of obliviousness, however. She knew what they were dying for, and it was her.

She didn't know why they wanted her dead, or why her clan was fighting so hard to keep her alive. But they did, and they were, and she couldn't do anything except brace against the never-ending fear and pain that cascaded over her, courtesy of her clanmates and the horde that was swarming them.

When it finally stopped, it was obvious that her clan had lost. Strange dragons shuffled through the halls, combing the corridors for anyone that had fled the battle, or for warriors that were injured but still alive. Guards surrounded her, their aggressive stances ineffectively hiding their fear at standing at such a close proximity to her. The fear radiated off of them, and every time she moved it spiked before settling again.

When the assumed leader came into the room, every dragon backed away just enough for the new one to squeeze through. He told her of their success, and how they were going to rid her off of Sornieth forever. But she didn't pay him any heed, as a new dragon had entered the fray that they hadn't noticed yet, and she wasn't scared at all. She was angry.

The new dragon yanked a spear out of the hands of one of his soldiers, testing it's weight in his claws.

Their life force was ripped from their bodies, one by one; she felt the sharp slice of pain from each dragon before an eerie silence took it's place. And then they were at the entrance to the cave and it was clear that she had no hope of surviving the encounter.

A guard was posted to watch her while the others roamed the lair for any dragon that was still alive; before long they returned, clustering around her in a terrifying display of teeth and armor. Then they attacked her. She could do nothing to stop them; they had found her before she was old enough to control her primal magic.

She was on the brink of unconsciousness when one of her attackers yelped, flying head over heels into one of the lair's walls. A deep rumble shook the cave, causing debris from the ceiling to fall on their heads. It was a growl.

Her attackers stared in mute horror, their shock preventing them from moving. The visitor that caused their fright began to stalk towards them, her teeth bared in a terrifying display. She stopped moving once she reached Tequila, fanning a wing to hide her from the others' view. Then she hissed, and a thud buried itself in the cave wall. The others fled in a mass hysteria, climbing over themselves to get out. Then they were gone. Her rescuer turned to face her, turning her around gently with her talons to check for injuries. Tequila fell unconscious, staring into her mismatched eyes.

Eye lore:

Common

Uncommon

Unusual

Rare

Faceted - Often blind, much like those with primal eyes, except they are the opposite of a dragon with primal. They are commonly referred to shells, as they have no magic that they can use or control.

Multigaze - Dragons with multigaze are often said to see the future, however that is not the case for every dragon. Some have strong intuition with certain things; they can tell someone is hiding something as they know more of what is going on around them due to the extra eyes. They sometimes have a certain connection with seemingly random dragons; they can tell when others are in danger, or when they die. A multi-gaze doesn't have to ever meet a dragon to become connected to one, and the link doesn't go both ways in most cases. Only in rare instances can a dragon with multi-gaze see the future; often the most powerful of them has the ability, however future seeing isn't always the way to tell who is the most powerful in the multigaze population.

Primal - Dragons with primal are often blind, much like those with faceted eyes. However dragons with primal eyes have a large amount of magic, and they can control the vast quantity of it the moment they hatch. They are very rare and many are feared due to what they could do with their powers, however there are no known incidents where a primal-eyed dragon turned against the population. Despite being blind many have reported that they can sense where objects are in the room and avoid hitting them with ease, even objects that move such as other dragons.

Dark Sclera - Dark sclera is a telltale sign that a hatchling died for a short duration while in the egg. The sclera often decays first in a hatchling, causing the sclera to darken even if the hatchling was only dead for a few seconds. The darker the sclera, the longer the hatchling was dead. It is said that dragons with pitch black scleras were brought back to life by necromancer magic.

Death will be in cahoots with a league of Imperials [perhaps he even created them while under the Shade's control]

Shade touched and Shade demented will be the two variants this league has

Shade touched - Has a massive amount of dark magic at their disposal to use as the Shade sees fit (most often controlled 100% of the time, however there are a select few that the Shade connot control for reasons unknown)

Shade Demented - lacks the proper genes to be fully Shade touched, they are failures in the Shade's eyes. Most of them can be controlled for short periods of time, but are deemed too unstable for what the Shade uses them for as they can actually think for themselves in the moments that they are not controlled by it. (They are prone to rebelling because of this) They are usually eliminated the moment they hatch unless they possess unusual talent in another area (most of these will be exalted)
