Biography

So Eleanor, put those boots back on
Put the boots back on and run
Run, come on over here, come on over here, come on over here

Key lore points: Formerly an imperial (but no, not really, just lore-wise :P), nobody knows why she changed her breed. Some claim she's distantly related to the Luminax bloodline and wanted to distance herself from the mighty and monstrous emperor tearing down the Beacon of the Radiant Eye. Says she used to be a powerful mage but changing shape completely drained her from her powers. Comes from a distant land where cultures and traditions met peacefully and is very respectful, a very mature and taciturn dragon.

Takes care of the departed and deceased, especially the rites of burying dragons. Appears finicky and scared all the time. Claims to hear voices, nobody is sure if it's true. It's true. She's not exactly sure where they came from but they often materialise in the shapes of hands when she's completely alone. On some days, they haunt her, on some days, they keep her company. Lots and lots of insomnia.

Took up the job of plague representative, which she performs reluctantly. She'll gladly perform an autopsy on the deceased and do their burial rites. Mimirra is her fellow blight representative, but they don't get along too well.

Elanor's Haunting Grasps has a mind of its own, constantly swaying with the movement of it's host.

She often confides her deepest secrets and fears to the sentient apparel while shes alone with herself... as alone as she can possibly be.

The gentle hands stroke Elanor's mane to comfort the dragon's outbursts of several emotions.

Flowers and petals that somehow always find their way around or tucked neatly into her fur... She likes believing they are trying to calm Eleanor down when she isn't her usual self.

Eleanor is cool and mysterious, a dragon most know of in town, but few see or, in fact, want to see. Being in charge of burials and autopsy means that tragedy is involved whenever Eleanor needs to step outside of Scarletholme Abbey. She has Mimirra do most of the shopping for their household, or relies on Ada's good favours to have stuff delivered. Eleanor herself has a bit of agoraphobia and hardly leaves her home, or quarters, unless it's required to perform her job.

Eleanor isn't very proud of her Plague heritage, but is well versed on it, as well as on blights, diseases and all types of curses and burial rates. When elections for representative came around, she was appointed without even running for the position, by unanimous voting, with Mimirra coming up second and taking up the role of Riot of Rot Spirit.

The two often clash in their beliefs and impressions about their own element and what it represents, with Mimirra being more vocal and extroverted, despite being feral and harsh to others. While the Nocturne is a real child of the Plaguelands, Eleanor feels no remorse for having left it behind at young age to learn more about medicine and health around Sornieth. Still, Eleanor is more mature and respectful and thus a better diplomat than Mimirra could ever dream of being. For that, the veilspun remains at her position through the years.

Alas, Eleanor wishes she could step down, simply because the voices will often taunt her about it, causing fits of panic and anxiety driving by her imposter syndrome.

She's a timid dragon, and likes being alone.

Despite being against the stay of Antonio, Eleanor had to agree it kind of made sense for him to reside with her. He didn't seem bothered by her talking to herself, the voices or the visions, in fact... Much as she'd like to deny it, having other dragons in the Abbey helped silence them... A little. It's hard to hear anything else but Antonio's loud voice, anyway, specially when him and Mimirra are at each others throat's constantly.

(Because he's defending you from her accusations.)
(But I did not ask him to.)
(But you're happy when he does.)
(But I shouldn't be.)
