He was depicted with horns later, and became associated with flocks and herds as well as the underworld. He has many associations with wealth and the magical forces of the spirit world. Weles and Piorun were depicted as adversaries, and were worshipped separately from one another. He was the patron of oaths, death, divination, underworld, domestic animals and beasts and afterlife. His feast day is February 12th, but he is also associated in Christianity with Saint Blaise(March 11th) and Saint Nicholas (December 6th)

He is also the god of poetic inspiration and sight, as highlighted by his name which comes from the Indo-European root *wel, which implies sight and magical ability. The Book of Veles is dedicated to him. Walgino is the name of the cattle god in Polish tradition, though Weles is more common nowadays. Also known as the "Horned God", Veles is a male god of the earth, incarnating the "Black God" of dual theology. As such he is the opposite of the heavenly manifestations of the "White God" (Svarog and his sons, but especially Perun). An alternative name of Veles that was used by Baltic Slavs is Tjarnaglofi ("Black Head", identifying him as Chernobog). The name Zembog literally means "Earth Giver" and may refer to Veles. He is compared to the Indic Varuna, the Celtic Esus and the Norse Ullr amongst others. | x |

this dragon has an ability to change the color of his scales. it mostly goes by emotions, but sometimes matching environments as well. content is usually a dark green, angry a blood red, and sad a dark grey. his eyes are usually the only thing that can ruin the illusion if he’s hiding, the black goop leading you to his location by trail, or just dark in the light. his skeleton body parts can change color too.
