on some level i think i always understood that a ship could never love an anchor, so i severed the rope to set you sailing from my harbor

my favorite colors:
- the golden sun on our backs as we run through the fields. you laugh so loudly that i was afraid they'd catch us, but for once in my life i decided not to stop you.
- the plants i grew in our new apartment. you weren't sure if i would have enough sunshine here in the city; you'd even apologized to me before they even began to sprout.
- the shine in your eyes when they light up with a great new idea. you were always much more of a dreamer than i, though i still love to hear those idyllic worlds of yours.

he calls the shade-beings "starlings" (while cath calls them gods. which isnt fully accurate), bc it was one of the first birds he learned the name of and he rlly likes the sound :'')

nerd!! this guy loves reading all the damn time. he spends many late afternoons laying on the floor (he finds it more comfortable. and also cath is usually taking a nap on the couch around this hour) with his face in a book

literary translator (being around for so long and in so many places has made him pretty damn fluent in like 4-5 languages). aspiring author and poet
when in private, him and cath switch languages a lot and mix in words depending on what they wanna say. their knowledge of languages doesn't exactly match, so they're always learning new words and phrases from each other, and cat finds great joy in this :]
in public they speak whatever the dominant language in the area is, just to draw less attention
