A simple wish developed into a curse. Unlike many arcane dragons born with the Gift, she felt nothing of a connection to the Arcane Territory or deity; only to the stars themselves.
She tried to please them. None understood. She asked the stars for answers; they took her children. When they did, she felt them grow brighter; warmer. Her eyes hurt less, her scales less of a prison. She gave them all up. Scales, to dust. Form, undefined. They were getting warmer.
She was getting closer.
