Microlore: This dragon was born deaf and learned to sign to communicate from his birthclan's census-taker, Dilshad. Though he often struggles to communicate with hearing folks, he is happy to teach and happy to lead others in practicing, should they wish to learn.

Humble and gentle, many have said he is good with hatchlings, though sometimes it is difficult to understand a child. But young ones learn where older ones can not, and when he visits the hatchlings of the clan, he is always happy to sign with them and listen while they struggle to express their thoughts to him. His heart often floods while he visits them, as he longs for young of his own.

Despite being Stonetouched, he works the land, testing and rehabilitating it to ensure a healthy loam and a good soil composition. He works covered in gloves and coats to ensure he is not exposed more than he intends to be. He collects samples and takes them to his laboratory where he measures acidity, toxicity, and other determinate factors to better advise those who wish to grow something.

His Stonetouched nature is not overly sensative, certainly nothing like his brothers', but it is present. The memories he has are often those of hatchlings stirred up from the dust where they once stood and learned and grew. When the visions pass, he thinks of the young he longs for, and his heart weeps.


Hatchling name: Stonecrop for his coloring like the succulent that grows near the riverbeds. This is the name his family called him as he grew up, but not necessarily the one he kept when he joined a new clan.

This dragon is Stonetouched.

In Dragonhome, there are those who are born Stonetouched. They hear the past in the dust on which they walk. The feel the whispers of those who have gone before as they pass the stone bulwarks of their lairs. They know, deep in their bones, that they live as a result of a tremendous history.

These come from families deeply blessed by Earthshaker himself. Families which he smiled upon in favor in the times when the gods walked Sornieth.

Often clerics, and sometimes considered mad, these dragons struggle to live presently as they are constantly drawn towards the past. They are known for seemingly vapid stares as they are caught up in something beyond what the untouched see and hear, and for what sound to be half-mad whispers as they speak with the past.

Those who study and train and attempt to become better able to handle their skills can live a life of peace, walking between the past and the now. Those who do not take this time are doomed to be pulled under time and again, wrestling with the then to retain something of what they are.

In Oakrest, the Stonetouched come from Chandra's line, and they are marked with rings like eyes to symbolize seeing what can not be seen.
