You know when your trying to sleep one night but can't and all of a sudden inspiration strikes you and you start making lore in your head all while desperate to get to sleep? Same bro.

Lore idea for this lair is basically shade vampires, what's shade vampires you ask? Well I was thinking because many dragons can die due to lack of magic, what if somehow a dragon was able to adsorb the shade in a way so that they could consume mana from other dragons.

No blood just magic juice btw. I have this whole thing were this one dragon was able to adsorb the shade and become the first vampire, she could spread this gift onto others who were sick and dying due to lack of magic. Thing is they can only consume magic from other dragons since they can't make anymore of their own, now we are going off vampire logic so the dragons live a hell of a lot longer, stronger, faster etc. Trying to think of a decent weakness for these guys. Sunlight? Maybe.

The bloodveil court is were the first few were reborn, they are the most powerful of the shade vampires (will come up with a better name I promise). They all serve the Pale lady, who is known as the first. She is the only one who can safety turn a dragon into a shade vamp, as many other vamps who try end up failing.

You can't just turn any dragon into a shade vamp, it has to be a dragon who's magic is fading away. You also can't turn a Fae into a shade vamp because their powerful magic blocks any attempt of turning.

Also just thought of this but there are Gaolers do try to hunt these guys down, they are part shade after all. Lol think of it, fluffy vampire hunters. Gear and all.
