Orpheus keeps written records of the stories he remembers from his youth as well as his adult life. Sometimes they are stories about the clan, sometimes they're fairytales, sometimes they're stories he has heard somewhere once.

Orpheus has regular correspondence with Lucerna, a scribe from the lost clan of Iovis, an allied shadow clan with which the Gemkeepers cooperate closely. It is not uncommon for dragons born in the Gemkeepers clan to choose to settle with the lost clan of Iovis.

Custom Location: The Gemkeeper's Lair

The Gemkeepers live in an intricate system of caves and tunnels, connected by hallways and corridors dug deep into a cliff overlooking the Sea of the Thousand Currents. The Sunlight Steps together with various workshops and studios are located closest to the surface. This wing of a tunnel actually leads to the top of the cliff where the clan's agricultural grounds can be found. Light in this area is often provided by skylights.

The Library and the Hibernal Den lie in the middle level of the lair. The temperatures here are pleasant and the air not too stuffy, which suits dragons as well as books. Lighting here is provided by luminous crystals on the walls, and candles.

At the bottom of a massive stairwell lies the Visitor's Lounge. Continuing further into the deepest tunnel is the Nursery and the Gemstone Keep. The Nursery is located this far from the entrance to keep the hatchlings safe from any threat.

It is very easy to get lost in the numerous passageways which connect the main tunnels and it takes the lair's residents a while to memorize them. Dragons that have freshly settled with the clan often have a guide to help them navigate this chaos.
