Matriarch of Clan Greenplume

Mated to Bibelot and Alexis with one unexalted daughter.

Formerly an astrobiologist for the Arcane flight, she considers her move to the Viridian Labyrinth a retirement from her scholarly duties.

The clan matriarch was born when the Arcanist's magic animated a small sweet pea vining its way up the Observatory wall. With a touch of His spindly claw, one of the mulberry-colored flowers was transformed into a fully-formed female Fae dragon. Ervil studied for several years under the high mages of the Arcane flight before setting out to explore the Starfall Isles. After meeting Bibelot and Alexis, they founded Clan Greenplume together. While her fledgling clan mined the Crystalpine Reaches for magical ores to peddle, Ervil continued her education in magic and astronomy. She traveled back and forth from the Tourmaline Archives and her lair, studying the extraterrestrials discovered at the Focal Point after meteor showers.

One day, Ervil peered a little too closely at a fungi-covered meteorite and accidentally inhaled a cloud of spores. Eldritch spots of mold began to grow across her wings and body over the following days. Her sparkling pink eyes were blinded and bleached to white, and her tiny Fae teeth elongated into grinning fangs. Intrusive thoughts of violence against her clanmates began to enter her head. When it became clear that no spell written by the Arcanist's scholars could cure her infection, Ervil turned to the Nature flight's druids for help. She moved her entire clan to the Viridian Labyrinth in order to receive treatment from the masters of hyperflora and forest healing who tend to the Behemoth. Their magic has been able to contain the alien parasite successfully, preventing it from affecting her mind and infecting any other dragons, but they were unable to reverse the morphological effects of Ervil's infection. Without regular treatment it will once again begin to consume her and release more spores. Although the old matriarch misses her flight of origin and her academic career, she feels that her new home is quite fitting considering her leafy origins.
