Henchman and Pet

Nia was brought here as a young hatchling by the Doc. He's a bit twitchy sometimes but that doesn't stop him from doing what he is assigned. He's energetic beyond belief, constantly running around at full speed, even when he should be waiting. Other dragons compare him, rather snidely, to a spiral, but he pays them no attention.

Having grown up in the Lab, Nia has spent a lot of time with Xid. It's obvious to those who are observant that he's picked up many of the mannerisms and habits he displays from the mutant spiral, including his disinclination to speak, though he's capable when the Doc wants him to. For the most part, Nia scurries around the Lab, doing any heavy lifting and a few complicated tasks that Xid is incapable of doing. He has a bad habit of climbing over everything as though the world is his obstacle course (and sometimes the dragons in it).

There are two things that will stop him in his tracks. One is the Doc, whom he appears to adore and will obey without hesitation, ever. The other is his paralyzing fear of the Sleeper, which will sometimes drift into the Lab and cause Nia to freeze, or if given enough warning, Nia will create havoc in an attempt to hide. This fear has caused more than one of Doc's experiments to go awry, though the coatl has never once grown angry with Nia. He will merely pull out his clipboard and write notes about the interaction, sometimes through the poisonous gasses spewing from the disrupted science.
