Some might call Dusk's line of word macabre, but to her it's a necessary part of life...well, death, to be more precise. Once a dragon's soul has passed on, navigating the underworld can be a scary experience. That's where Dusk comes in - she is the guide to the newly departed. She gently tells them what has happened, and helps them find peace in their new state of being. Some decide to stay in the underworld to create an afterlife, while others want to pass on. Whatever they wish, Dusk guides them.

She does retains a hold on the mortal realm, but she isn't really of either world. It has something to do with her hatch day, a moment of death before she was truly born. This forged a connection between the underworld and the above world, and for as long as she can remember, Dusk has been a part of both.
