Ever since Lazav was a hatchling, he had wanted to become a monk. But not just any monk! Lazav wanted to be a warrior monk that lived without the temporary pleasures that money bought. As soon as Lazav matured, he began his Vow of Poverty to become a fierce warrior that got everything he owned without spending money. "You need battle stones! You need clothes! Those cost money!" Lazav's clanmates jeered at him. However, Lazav ignored everyone who was trying to crush his hopes and dreams, and so he began his quest to achieve his goals without spending any treasure! As Lazav left his original clan, he befriended a cat and the two of them have been together ever since.

The first thing Lazav did was get some clothes, and while they weren't flashy, at least they kept him protected from the elements. One thing in his original outfit did stick with Lazav - his gloves and winter cape! Lazav has been wearing those clothes since the beginning and has never replaced them.

Next, Lazav set his sights on the Mana Relic accent. He thought it would look good on him, so he asked Swipp what he needed to make the trade. Swipp replied that he charges a Mana Thief and 50 Aquatic Relics. Lazav asked his good friend Cledwyn to supply him with the Aquatic Relics, as Lazav already had a Mana Thief from foraging. After a few weeks, Cledwyn gave Lazav the Aquatic Relics he needed, as some of Cledwyn's clanmates had gone deep sea diving and returned with them. Lazav happily traded the Mana Thief and Aquatic Relics with Swipp, and donned his new accent.

Shortly after Lazav traded with Swipp, Cledwyn informed Lazav that her clan had found a mirror hatchling without parents, and they needed someone to take care of it. Cledwyn asked Lazav to take in the hatchling to return her favor. Lazav agreed, and he named her Rift.
When Rift was very young, she was inspired by Lazav's Vow, and decided to make her own as well. However, Rift deviated from Lazav's vow, because she decided to trade items! Rift begged Lazav for a Capsule gene, so Lazav decided to give away his Mana Relic in exchange for Capsule. Because of that, Lazav had to go back to the Coliseum to get his new accent, which was Starwood Glass.

Finally, Lazav just had to get his battle stones! Some strangers were very kind to him, and they donated half of his battle stones. The other half, however, Lazav had to get himself. While slaying enemies for battle stones, Lazav happened to find a wind egg and a fire egg! He decided to keep the eggs, and waited every day for them to hatch. Sadly, they never did... but something told Lazav that they would hatch in time, so he never sold them.

One day, when Lazav was battling monsters to get battle stones, a mysterious traveller showed up with all sorts of exotic clothings! The traveller gave Lazav an exquisite trident, a fine suit, and a water elemental! Lazav gratefully thanked the traveller, and mastered the art of using the trident to Eliminate his enemies in the coliseum.

After months of trying to get battle stones, the elusive Rally stone would just never show up! Eventually, Lazav resorted to begging, and yet another kind stranger donated the Rally stone! As soon as Lazav got that last stone, he immediately went on a rampage through the Mire to take out the frustration of not getting what he wanted for the past few months.

Lazav is now happily living with Rift, and he now trains dragons to serve the Tidelord.

Art by Pride! (this is probably the best dragon art I've seen honestly)
