An autumn moon in a sky of black,
Is draped in yellowed mist.
It's Halloween night, not a soul in sight,
But who's that coming? Pumpkin Jack!

A skeletal fae in a smart black suit,
Who grasps a classy cane.
With a tip of his hat, a meow of his cat,
He pulls out a bag of loot.

A sack of jokes Jack brings with him,
Ready to trick or treat.
There's pranks for all, you'll have a ball,
Tonight's not a time to be grim.

Come dress up, light pumpkins bright,
Then Jack knows who will play.
Try your best to scare the rest,
Or you might get a fright!

The spooky fae may seek you out,
Wanting to try his luck.
He could hide some mice (not so nice),
In your bed to make you shout!

But it's not all tricks, so raise a grin,
Let’s celebrate in style.
If Jack rings the bell, all is well,
It’s time for the fun to begin!
