Teacher (tracking, basic food preparation, philosophy)
Merklich, one of the oldest dragons of the Windflower clan, wakes up and stretches her wings. The air is crisp and she heads over to Morpho. He is still asleep, so she goes to the window. The landscape is covered in a thin layer of snow and she smiles. It looks so calm. She stares out the window for about 30 minutes, until the rest of the clan wakes up. This is her favourite time of the year, and is the one her hide resembles the most. From her window she can see some hatchlings stop dead in their lair entrances, surprised at the white scene in front of them. Others run joyfully out to play and explore. She can see familiars wander about leaving tracks in the snow. Later the hatchlings would learn what tracks each familiar make. The first messenger, always Sunspring, had donned her winter bells after sticking her head out for a minute. The messengers of the Windflower always donned bells from the first snow until new year's eve. Some also wear purple, green, red or white ribbons. Morpho wakes up and goes to stand beside her. "It's already winter?" She turns around and kisses him. "Yes dear, it's already winter". She knows this first snow will melt during the day, but the transformation of the Windflower clan was done. She put on her best dress and went outside to collect the hatchlings for class.
