Stone of day, flesh of night.
Etched from runes of since lost, with obsidian hide and crystal eyes, chosen from birth and served ‘til death. Gargoyles in name, but only just, three Pearlcatchers lay in rest.

From the depths of ancient time, chosen by the last of the original trio, runes were etched into scale with only the briefest of consent. At the death of the creation of platinum hide -- Rovnor was asked with the task of guarding the next generation remaining in the Starwood Strand after the great wars ravaged the clans. He, while accepting his fate, was not aware of the full repercussions he would be facing.

Deprived of his flesh, his hide grew to stone.
Cursed to never see the light of day. Rovnor would dream of the warmth on his skin. The sight of orange meeting blue as the sun fully rose -- but all he would see from then on was the twinkling of stars and the phases of the moon.

Rovnor would be the Eastren Grove of his clans latest territory. Having moved solely through the night to allow their statues to stretch their limbs, each would set up permanent at each entrance to the clearing in the Fox-Fire Brambles.
