Q: Maelstrom, if you don't mind sharing, what did happen on the day of your first prophecy? Or how do you feel knowing you read prophecies in a less traditional way than most?

A: Maelstrom drums her claws against her glossy pearl. "That day..." Her voice is empty, her eyes distant. Neither remorseful nor spiteful, simply thoughtful. "I have not thought of that day in a very long time. I prefer to look to the future, rather than wallow in the past."

She turns back towards you, suddenly very present. "I pride myself on my clairvoyance. My abilities are not hindered by the tides. The signs are all around us- I will not let my powers be limited by tradition."
