  • There’s a very popular story that circulates around Sornieth twice every year at the spring and fall equinoxes, and it’s about eggs. According to legend, if you try to stand an egg on its end on the vernal or autumnal equinox, you’ll be successful, because of the polarity and balance of the earth. Well, Autumn was one such egg. Her egg was laid and, after rolling slightly, stood perfectly on its end. It was an oddity to be sure, for every time it was laid on its side, it rolled back up as soon as no one was looking.
    Upon hatching, everyone knew Autumn was special. Born with the brilliant colors that gave her her name, Autumn was capable of elegant walk and graceful flight almost the second day of her life. They say this had to do with how her egg was always upright while she was developing. Along with this, Autumn has gained the nickname "Pam", from Pamona, the goddess of apples. Why? Because they're her favorite food, because of their colors, and because of the way they tend to sit nicely upright when placed on their bottom.
