Biography
Percival
Percival may look very scary, what with his gloomy garb and dreadful lanterns following him. But through that outer shell shines a beautiful heart of gold. Some regard him as cursed, something to be avoided at all costs- But Serenity saw quite the opposite. Just a clumsy youngster, trying to find his way in the world. What could be taken for a curse is actually just an unlucky sort of klutziness; poor young Percy never has ill will to anyone, even if they've wronged him. Happy go lucky and innocent, the poor boy has the worst luck on Sornieth- He always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, leading to some treating him like a herald of disaster. But, he really isn't. Honest.
Young Percy started his life in the Southern Icefields, where his reputation for misfortune grew- Avalanches, quakes, cave-ins, Beastclan raids... You name it, he was there. His old clan grew so desperate to have him out that they gave him the boot, telling him to spread his misfortune elsewhere. The young Spiral didn't understand- Was it his eyes? Did he smell funny? But reluctantly, he left home and soon came to the Starwood Strand, and after an encounter with the resident Shade cultists he found a home in Serenity, the new head guard. Despite her stoic demeanor and laconic speech, she took a shining to the young mess and named him as her apprentice- Something that, despite his klutzy nature, he's getting pretty good at. This young Spiral is still learning how to be a guard, but he's working hard- Working with the hope that one day, his misfortune would leave him.
