Having fled the Tangled Wood young, after her family was caught amidst a slaughter, Vasnohr stumbled her way blindly through the Scarred Wastelands; very much alone and afraid with a growing, deep set bitterness held towards the life she was powerless to shape. The Mirror grew poorly within the rotting lands that she had fled unto, scraping by the days with a grim determination to survive and withering muscles from setting starvation. Death was sure to fall upon Vasnohr's doorstep if not for a fateful chance meeting with a 'merciful' group of Plagueland Dragons. Trust was slow and hard to build; Nohr's past was not permitting to allow such kindness within her heart if she wished to survive. The ache of loss was still fresh, still bloodied, and this new group? There were divides and splinters among them, certainly not the most functioning that Vasnohr had ever seen. (Though what did she know of that?) Her loyalty was garnered by an outspoken Mirror with a bad attitude; an incident that spattered blood across the land and allowed colours to be shone true. Vasnohr, among the fray, found herself questioning her own integrity; questioning what kind of dragon she was and what she could stand for. When the fight was over and the Mirror left broken upon the ground with little but scarce family abandoned at her side, Vasnohr stayed too. From what was a large group, offering security and protection for as long as you kept up and survived to a vulnerable group of six, this would be where Vasnohr forged a future. A tiny group of mismatched dragons that had all bled to survive; Yes, this seemed fitting. "Why stay behind?" Pox asks, weeks into the future with wounds now scarred. "You had no obligation to be left to die with the rest of us. You could've moved on to cleaner grounds." Teeth were briefly bared, eyes flitting to the purple Mirror before huffing. "Nobody gets left behind." She grunts, counting the group around her and pushing ahead. The dragon was hardened with time but there was some small room to allow others in to fill the void that her own loneliness had carved. This was her Tribe now and she would have plenty of time to carve something anew and strong with it. |
