Magnhild Status: Training Magnhild arrived in the Scrollbound Burrows as a hatchling, followed closely by Hale, and found by Coldfront. While the Burrow was happy to accept her, they couldn't figure out why she hadn't noticed the young spiral, espcially due to their misinterpretations of Gaolers, which suggested that she should have known instantly. They didn't figure out why until they gave her her apprenticeship assignment on a slip of parchment, and she didn't react. She never went to her assignment. She was blind, they realized. However, she found a friend in Hale, who was given a different assignment, however, as her only acquaintance from their old clan, the two spoke regularly. Over time, Hale became Magnhild's "eyes", guiding her around to areas of the Burrows that she wasn't accustomed to yet. And eventually, Magnhild asked Hale to take her outside of the Burrow's above-ground clearings, and into the wilds of the Starfall Isles. The members of the clan who handled apprentices were worried beyond their wildest nightmares. However, Magnhild and Hale had a good time, playing and wrestling in the forests of glowing trees, even though Magnhild could only see their dim light. When Hale led her back to the clan, they were worried about her wellbeing. However, she was alright, and wanted to "see" more through Hale. So, as time marched on, the two left, and saw more of the Starfall Isles. Magnhild is a kind, yet unfocused young dragon. She enjoys doing things with her own talons, so she can feel her work rather than having to guess where things are. Despite this, she can hear very well, and locating things that she can't see doesn't seem to be hard for her, as much as it's a minor nuisance. She does her job as a guard well as a result, but when she's not doing that which she's required to do, she's either alone, gardening, or with Hale. Her clanmates see that she is mostly self-oriented, pushing others out of the way so her tasks can be completed, however, she doesn't go out of her way to do such. |
