(Lore WIP) (5/23/20 update: Former scientist of the Solar Sanctum; originally a curator for the sanctum's museum front; eventually allowed into the lab once he notices an artifact on display starts to exhibit strange traces of energy. Highly skilled in work but cannot separate emotions from it; very empathetic and often calls off experiments if he feels that a subject is under stress. Often scolded by his elder brother Makoto. Eventually his empathy goes too far and a cryptid nearly escapes and endangers staff in process. Has a terrible fight (see: one sided scolding and threatening) with Makoto and is relieved of his duties. Grew particularly attached to the artifact that got him into the Sanctum to begin with: magical suit of armor that developed its own voice and thoughts. Makoto takes over this project, so Ashe tries to break in and at least save the armor from his brother. Armor's bond with Ashe is strong enough that he wills himself a draconic body into existence, taking the form of a Bogsneak and protecting him from harm. The two escape the building and territory into the Viridian Labyrinth. He wandered the Labyrinth with his new ally, now named Midknight, who defends them from threats. Eventually they settled into a secluded oasis hidden deep within a thicket of trees that he dubbed Amity Garden. Desiring to go against the Solar Sanctum, Ashe hopes for Amity Garden to serve as a place of refuge for strange dragons that the Sanctum would view as nothing more than test subjects.) |
