Duty and loyalty. This was all he knew. Within the vitality of it all rested his courage and pure heart. Following a strong sense of desire to hold which values he keeps dear to him are the light and guidance of his existence.

Proud he stood, even as a hatchling, the guardian prostrated himself efferent from the rest, regal in all his majestic glory, even when attempting to sustain his stature when he pulled himself from the sea. Born to a family of dragon royals, Yami was the child of three, the only male between two sisters. Though he was the only guardian among a group of Faes. Found as an abandoned egg, the small Fae pair took it in as part of their own clutch, raising him along with their brood. From early on he was taught how to be chivalrous, fight with honor, and have pride in who he was. He became insurmountable and eventually fell into the role as the sole protector of his loving family. Years passed by and he grew, becoming a gorgeous, majestic stalky Guardian, sporting hues of caribbean and shadow, prismatic collage glossing the membranes of his wings which accentuated the splotches of purple flecks that ran down his hide. Golden ringlets were placed over his wingtips, adding to the flare he exhumed. Proud he was, standing tall above most. |

From the ashes he had risen, taking all that he held dear beneath his wings. Pure of heart, passion like fire. Tame was not the beast but his heart. For if one looked into his eyes all they saw was ephemerality.

Then came the time to leave the nest. Fully grown and mature, he stood before his adoptive parents, old and wizened as they were, though nodding in approval of his journey into the vast plane of Sornieth. Before leaving he glanced back at his parents and two sisters, a look of pride and approval on their faces, despite he knew deep down they didn't want him to go. Yami smiled, reminding himself it was time to take on his Search, the very pull and lull Guardians felt upon coming of age. Someone he knew that he would take as his charge and protect for his remaining days. It wasn't long before he happened upon a beautiful valley hidden within a vast crater just at the edges of the Strand, hidden amiss the glow of luminescent flowers and crystalline waters, the sound of waterfalls echoing to his ears as he breathed in the sweet scent of purity. Descending into the valley he took in its sights and sounds. Reveling in the glory such had to offer. Monumental beauty and peacefulness. Such tranquility it was. A place like this could be considered... Paradise. It was also here that he found her.   |
