Seraphim

One faithful day, a child was born. A special hatchling surrounded with many beautiful crimson feathered wings. The dragons couldn't believe such a sight, and thought it must have been a gift. A miracle from the Lightbringer herself!

But such a miracle soon turned out to reveal itself as a curse, the day the hatchling finally uncurled the wings that had been so tightly wrapped around her body, showing her face to the world for the first time. Those who were there to witness it were immediately blinded by the radiant light of her eyes. Like tiny suns resting on her face. A cruel joke from a corrupted past.

Because of this, the Seraphim hides behind her crimson wings. The ones on her head hold tightly like a mask. Protecting others from her light.

She felt awful for it; guilty. Her mother insisted it wasn't her fault she was like this, but she still couldn't bare the thought of hurting others. So she ran away from her home clan. Her father's homeland sounded like the place for abominations like her. And she would find she was right, as she found herself a clan full of freaks like herself.

Today she resides peacefully within the walls of Rottoway (well, as peaceful as a rough and rowdy place like this can be). Serah has made quite a few friends here, finding herself a spot in the Ladies' clique.
