   p i r a t e Altan serves as the primary assistant to Shao, the Clan's primary maritime explorer, who mans a smaller ship. By day, Altan and crew carry trade goods produced in the clan or procured by clan trader, Carlile; by night, however, the group becomes extremely effective pillagers, or self-proclaimed pirates. They mainly stick to the coasts of the Ashfall Wastes and their homeland, The Windswept Plateau, in case their adventures call for some quick backup from the clan guard.
