. This dragon embarked on a trip across Sorneith during Brightshine Jubilee 2020 from June 21 to June 27. He is one of many who are traveling to various lairs and clans in the hopes of spreading love and joy to those they encounter. When it's over, they'll be able to look back at the adventures they had and dragons they met and remember the journey they went on. ____________________________________________ coding // graphics |

A skilled Balloon Rider, North is always eager to make new friends on the journeys he partakes in. His endeavours have brought him on many fulfilling adventures, some of them a pretty wild ride if he may say so himself. With his faithful sidekick and trust in the Wind, he fears nothing. Looks like he hasn't gotten enough of travelling, for he's off once again to explore new lands!
Hello there! North is just bursting with excitement to meet your clan. But what will he face? It's all up to you :D | . |

Day One: Archerfish(#313726)
____When the balloon drifts to a stop in the Sunbeam Ruins, the small band of dragons waiting there all look slightly away and pretend they haven't been staring at their strange new visitor.
____North doesn't let that stop him. He clambers off the basket with his familiar in tow, chirps a "Hello!" and offers a sunflower to the nearest dragon. Said dragon, being as she is a banescale and lacking arms, inclines her head.
____"May the Breeze guide you to where you need to be.", she says. It's an old proverb, one that North hasn't heard in a while, but the eyes boring a hole through his skull are the same shade of mint as his.
With nowhere else to put it, he pins the sunflower to her wing and gives it a pat.
____"No need to worry! I'm right where I like it. The Wind is kind to travellers." he gestures to his balloon, still bobbing gently in the air despite the lack of mooring. The banescale looks like she's on the verge of saying something rude. She clears her throat slightly and shuffles her feathers. Before she has the chance to kill the conversation, though, there's a tap on North's shoulder. He turns to see a mirror, leaning on a cane and extending one taloned limb in a gesture of welcome.
____"Ganya." North introduces himself and shakes claws with the mirror with evidently more enthusiasm than he expected, but he winces and keeps talking. "Don't- ah, ouch- don't worry about Appositi. You probably microaggressioned her somehow. Don't expect her to talk to you too much, either way."
____Well, that brings up a whole other bucket of grubs.(North could probably go for a bucket of grubs right about now, but that's not really the point. The point is that it's interesting here, and Ganya seems ready enough to explain things.) Like for example, what's Appositi's deal? Why is everyone here so weird? Is there anywhere he can keep his balloon? Why does Ganya have a cane? Are the vines on that column fake or real, because he's seen some very convincing fake vines in his time. He only realises he's been saying all of this out loud when Ganya laughs.
____"You know what, alright. Let's get your bird something to eat, and you can ask me all the questions you want. Tell some stories, too. I don't think anyone as well-traveled as you wouldn't have something interesting under their belt."
____Food promised and friend acquired. This trip is starting off very well, it seems.

Day Two: KittyandCat (441788)
The sky had began to grow dark as night fell, and North and his familiar munched on the insects the clan had provided. Based on their reactions, it was evident that they’d expected his familiar to be the one snacking, not him, but he was much to hungry to care.
____“So,” he said, speaking between chewing, though his mouth was still quite full as he spoke. “Jinga, was it?” “Ganya.” The elderly mirror corrected, smiling kindly at the young fae. “Yeah, right. You said you’d answer any questions I had, right?” Both dragon turned their heads at the ‘humph!’ Appositi let out from further out, shooting North a glare before roughly turning in her nest so that her back faced them. He wanted to ask what was with her, but North decided it’d be safer to wait until he was sure she was asleep to mention anything related to her. “Why do you have a cane?” He said rather bluntly, and he heard a stifled gasp from a dragon somewhere nearby. “Well, isn’t that a story?” Ganya smiles, not in the least offended.
____ “When I was younger,” he began, his eyes clouding with memories. “I was quite the adventurous type. Always getting into trouble,” “That’s for sure,” Apoositi snorted. “But one day, I took it too far. Trying to impress some girl,” her glanced over at Apositi, whose back was still to him. “I decided to race with a friend of mine, through the ruins. But, if you didn’t know, speed and lots of things to dodge don’t go well. I hit something, at some point, and twisted my ankle pretty bad. I haven’t been able to walk to well since.”
____”Wow,” North murmured, glancing over to Apositi, wondering if she was asleep yet. “What do you want to know next?” Ganya smiled.

Day Six: Bxy26, Clan Aquaurora #498491
The Wind brought North over the edge of the Sea of the Thousand Currents, and then, mysteriously, dropped. North struggled to keep his tiny balloon aloft, but sank lower and lower, finally settling in the water. He was becalmed.
Suddenly, a massive creature erupted from the water near him. North vaulted into the air, but remained hovering near his precious balloon.
"What have we here? It looks like a Merfae, but it has Wind affinity instead of Water."
North relaxed slightly as he recognized the creature as a Guardian dragon. "I'm not a whatever-you-said, I'm a Balloon Rider," he said.
The Guardian chuckled. "I know that," he said. "I was just teasing. Do you need a little help?"
The Fae was not eager to admit it, but he did need help. The Guardian introduced himself as Trenchseeker, and with the Fae's help, got the balloon tied around his neck. "I'm not really an expert on flying, but I think I can manage to get to shore," he drawled.
North looked to the east, and wilted. The shoreline was not too far away. The Guardian breached free of the water, and in just a few minutes was landing safely on the top of a large rocky promontory. "Your balloon should be safe up here," he said, "and you'll be able to have a good take-off point when the Wind calls you again."
They tied the balloon to a rock, just as the Wind picked up again. "Oh dear," said North. He quickly rummaged through his balloon basket and pulled out a slightly damp but otherwise unhurt bouquet of sunflowers. "For your clan. Happy Brightshine."
Trenchseeker accepted them gladly. "Same to you. May the Eleven guide you wherever the wind takes you," he called, but the Balloon Rider was already well on his way.
