The Lord of Spring is, fittingly, the youngest of the rulers of the Seasonal Courts. That youth is revealed in his wide, bright eyes, his delicate, willowy frame, and the carefree way he carries himself despite the responsibility he bears. He moves about on light deer's feet with barely a noise, though his own delighted, unsuppressable laughter tends to make him less stealthy than one would think. Even as he giggles and dances about, though, his long ears constantly swivel about, alert to any danger. His Court is full of similarly young fey, buds and saplings and early blooming flowers and tiny springs and brooks. He has nearly all of them wrapped around his little finger, able to make them swoon or hustle to provide him with whatever he could want with just a glance of his doe eyes in their direction. His Court is a playful and curious one, often wandering to discover new places and people. Like them, he finds much joy in venturing outside his bower to explore. The seat of the Spring Court is hardly neglected, though - it’s a lovely place, a clearing with a meadow full of soft grasses and bright flowers, surrounded by cherry trees eternally dropping their pink petals about the clearing. While it appears small and cozy at first, he can run and play with his Court for many hours, never reaching the opposite side unless they so desire. Unlike most of the other Courts, when night falls, his fey return to sleep rather than work or party. To be fair, they do tend to spend more of the day in sprightly play - it’s really no wonder they need the rest. |
