Kaaru is believed to be an exile to the Gaolers, a failure in their eyes, a traitor, a freak. He does not appear to be one with them, acting especially uncomfortable with the other Gaolers in Ysbraviar. Others think he was a prisoner, a used host for the Shade. His wings are slightly torn, hindering his ability of flight. And anyways, when someone talks about his wing or ask about his past, Kaaru somehow always manages to swerve the topic away smoothly, smartly.

He appears handsome to most, but really, it is an illusion, a trick of magic. Kaaru’s magic is quite strong, and he has set up an idyllic imagination of himself to represent to others as himself. Deep down he is scared of other’s views, a past trauma, and would prefer to avert another’s attention to something… better, to be associated with. He has nightmares of a barren wasteland, with what seemed to be the remains of his beloved Clan. A powerful Fire spell, a manipulation and calling of the flames at the Ashfall Waste, to form a wall of fire that ensnares anyone within it, burning them, lighting them up with no mercy.

Somehow Kaaru knows this horrifying dream was going to happen, and it was linked to him. He doesn’t believe this was his doing; his magic simply wasn’t that strong. Still the fear within is growing, and he knows this future is coming soon. If there was someone, or him, that was going to destroy Ysbraviar, he’s going to destroy them, or himself. After all, he had saved someone else already. A whole pack of dragons was going to be no problem.

If only he could contain himself when the time comes...

Kaaru is a chocolate brownie lover. In fact he loves all sweets and will eat almost anything with chocolate. He also love chocolate candy.

He also loves to snuggle as he is warm and soft like a teddy bear. He wants to love everyone and loves to give everyone he meets warm hugs. He wants everyone to know they are accepted and loved for who they are. He is very special so don't hurt him. He is like kicking a puppy if you hurt him.
