Biography
Names Initially 'Gold', as all of them were, then Therme - The Searing, though this was more of a title than a name. Eventually she adopted another, Emberflare, sometimes by itself, and at other times in addition to the previous.
Pragmatic, Demanding, Avaricious, Morally Questionable
The bursting gold and glowing light of her hide have nothing to do with purity, simply the result of her great physical prowess and magic.
Having started out in life as one of near entirely black hide with only few flecks of gold, Oztalun, the former leader, sought for her and her siblings to be his personal battlers. Claiming that with further strength, their true value would become apparent. Over time, that seemingly ridiculous notion seemed to prove true, as she rent more enemies asunder, her black scales seemed to chip off, revealing more gold beneath.
(Old Subspecies Idea mostly rolled into lore: Obsidian/Obsidian/Gold dragons with the degree of coverage by the tertiary indicating the amount of elemental power one is showing. Simplistic being hints of power, more covering such as runes or glimmer being one controlling the power, and crackle being that one is overflowing with energy to a dangerous degree, possibly risking magically exploding. The massive flux in power having a tendency of pushing ones mentality towards instability. )
At that time, she, and all her siblings(and all those in the lair) were simply named 'Gold', as all their worth was considered was just another piece of treasure in Oztalun's hoard. Only one who had proven themselves had the right to be called something else. Eventually, that 'honor' was granted to them, and the sisters(then, all Guardians) were granted individual names.
... [stuff on long standing hatred over being treated as an object/possession but whoops now you're doing it good job goes here] ...
The trio of sisters overthrew the gleaming golden Imperial when they realized the obsessed dragon was all glitz and no substance. Shining, but weak, they bound him easily, and in a fitting send off, sold him for their own profit.
Having gained a taste of the riches such things would bring, and very much having the strength to enforce her will, Therme eagerly gathers 'recruits' to be trained. Previously this had fallen to Paladin, but upon Theory convincing her to purchase a machine they now refer to as The Shrike(a reference to some creature in a novel series the curious Guardian was fond of), it has taken to the duty.
Her 'valiant warriors', more often then not, go towards the Lightweaver's war effort. As the deity offers a fair amount of recompense for their aid.
But when higher bidders are found, her loyalty to the cause depends on how deep the other sides vault is.
[Charge] - Never went on the Search, kept trying to fill the void with more money, former mate told her what she needed to do and she just cast him out saying 'I need nothing but treasure.' Later, some say by a trick of the Shadowbinder, some of her newly acquired wealth moved on its own accord and seemed attached to her. This seemed to justify her own mentality, 'see, it needs me as I need it' and she kept feeding more into the pile. This was not her true Charge, and the emptiness never goes away no matter how she tries.
