A roaring flame in a storm of black void, Loyd likes to travel across the land with ire and mischief that sets him apart from many on the spiritual plane. Loyd is a sentient remnant of memories and false realities conjured by negative emotions such as anger or fear. His name varies from person to person, as he never sticks to one for too long. He merely exists between the world of nightmares and reality, being nonexistent to those who do not think of him or is involved with the experiences he eats. As he passes by wandering dragons, he may consume their negative emotions or experiences and turn them into one of the eyes that follow him. He is highly aggressive, and even more so if he encounters a positive emotion or experience, seeking to destroy it.

The coatl is capable of producing smoke that causes distress to those who inhale it and can violently produce it if enraged. Each one of his eyes can help him see the faults and mistakes of others, and clings to them in order to amplify the negative feelings associated with them. The amount of smoke he can produce will weaken if he's disturbed or if a good memory is created. Loyd is very erratic, speaking in various screeches and shrieks but doesn't show any emotion of his own. Instead, he usually mirrors the emotions of those in the consumed experience he is currently replaying. He's often found thrashing about, spreading smoke around him and destroying whatever he can touch as he relives the memories and false nightmares in his mind. |

| One dragon that Loyd loves to harass is Chloe, who is his positive counterpart. He knows how to rile her up, and that is messing with her own remnants. He will try to lure them and corrupt them, to which the skydancer would try her hardest to defend herself from his influence. In return, however, Chloe has tried to "purify" his own remnants, irritating him to no end. The two are polar opposites, and it seems they will always be in conflict with each other. |
