Biography
“That was easy,” Shika murmurs, standing up in the middle of a bloody battlefield. He grimaces at the sight of the bodies all around him, born from the carnage he’d wrought; he hopes they decompose soon, for he doesn’t have time to take care of them himself.
In his defence, it isn’t as if he had started it. No, his attackers had been the one to charge at him first as he had walked around, possibly due to the smell of blood that may not have been wrapped up as properly as he thought it was, and he had been forced to defend himself with the injuries that he still had.
His cheek throbs at that moment, along with most of the other injuries on his body, and he’s reminded of the injuries that are still around. Sighing quietly, he sheathes his sword, and flies out of the carnage, mindful of the injuries he still has.
He lands a few seconds later, wincing at the strain on his wings. If he doesn’t find a town with a healer sooner or later, he might actually be in real danger…
“I really hope a clan’s around these parts,” he mutters, quickening his pace. “Surely there has to be a clan somewhere? Or a town?”
There is a part of him that regrets not having anybody else to watch his back. The battles he’d fought earlier would’ve been easier had there been someone else to help him pick them off, allowing him to ease the strain on his injured limbs and not accidentally tear open the wounds again.
Still, he wouldn’t give this life up for anything. Maybe when he finds a good companion, he’ll start travelling with them instead of just being on his own.
For now, though, he should focus on finding someone to heal his wounds, before it’s too late.
For as long as he could remember, Shika has wandered Sornieth. He knew it didn’t start that way at first, that something had happened to his former clan, but all of his memories from before are gone, and he doesn’t know how he can get them back — that is, if he can get them back at all. After waking up with wounds all over his body and an empty head, he has since been travelling around as a wandering samurai, occasionally offering his help to clans in need of a fighter in exchange for a place to stay and a few necessities.
He has a calm and serene personality, although he’s been called ‘battle-crazy’ more often than not due to his unusual demeanour during battling, which is a 180o shift from his usual personality. Aside from that, he has a fondness for small brown creatures — even taking on an unusually sized Maned Rasa as a familiar during one of his travels — and likes to collect yellow daisies, although he doesn’t recall when that particular habit of his started.
After a battle went wrong, he had been found by a group of Imperials, who had helped to patch him up and take care of him even as they continued travelling. Out of gratitude, he’d decided to stay and help them out on their travels, staying for as long as they’ll accept him.
Since then, he has travelled with this peculiar group of Imperials, learning more about them every day. While he doesn’t know when — or if ever — he’ll separate from them, he’ll enjoy his time with them for now.
