It's not that Aramis is unskilled, he is simply astoundingly, shockingly, frustratingly unlucky. Despite years of careful study and practice, it seems each and every time his skills are needed, the universe takes it as a personal challenge to impede the mage's desires in new and ever more outlandish fashion.

Although, it must be allowed that Aramis' own impulsiveness and tendency to act without thought has led him into no few catastrophes of his own making. He lives with a philosophy best summed up as 'Eh, what's the worst that could happen?', often walking directly into traps and pitfalls that even a cursory sniff around might well have revealed. It is not absentmindedness or lack of sense that feeds his lack of inhibition however, but a powerful, driving curiosity.

Aramis is happiest surrounded by endless books and new mysteries to investigate. He is always happy to assist in the solving of new puzzles and quandaries, and with his sharp mind and unconventional thinking, usually arrives at a solution before any around him even begin to crack the surface of the mystery. Now if he could just figure out how to aim that spell...
