Biography
Name: Paragon
Pronouns: They/them
Social Class: Witch
Familiar: Murk the Kelpie
Bio: Although Paragon has the physical prowess of a warrior, they don't let that stop them from practicing magic and witchcraft. However, they have very low magical abilities, the extent of which not going beyond mere party tricks. Contrary to the typical nature of Bogsneaks, they're very social with their fellow witches, and they're an absolute sucker for gossip. If they can't use their words to pry gossip out of a witch's shut mouth, they will use their bulking physique to their advantage to tower over them. (Most) witches are cowards when it comes to physical, close combat fights, and Paragon knows this and uses it to her advantage often. The only other witch who is immune to such tactics is Eerie, who is not too dissimilar from Paragon. Together, they are a formidable duo when it comes to intimidation and physical combat, making them almost inseparable friends. Unlike Eerie however, they are more willing to barter with unusual items rather than stowing them away.
Paragon does not remember much about their parents, except for the fact that they did not want them, and sent them away off to live with a Bogsneak who called himself “Master Zealous.” “Master Zealous” was not only a main caretaker for other unwanted Bogsneaks like Paragon, but he was also an interrogation teacher. While most other pupils who attend his interrogation classes found them horrifying, Paragon found herself fascinated by them. They quickly became one of “Master Zealous’s” best students. Unlike “Master Zealous” however, Paragon didn’t care much for his more amoral and sometimes more physically brutal tactics, not that they would (hopefully) ever need them anyways. They would often use their learned tactics against other students to pry out almost anything they wanted from, ranging from answers on a test to one’s darkest secrets. Those they could not easily interrogate they befriended, and would share their interrogated information with them often. One day, Paragon received a letter that they’d been accepted to permanently live with an older clan who’d just moved from the Tangled Wood to the Rotrock Rim. Before they left, they said their last goodbyes to their beloved tutor, who left them with these parting words: “I’m happy to see you go, for I know I have taught you well. Go and do not forget what you have learned here.”
