When a lair gets to be as large as Clan Greased Lightning, it is only natural for it to split into smaller factions. Marth cannot keep an eye on everyone, try as he might, and certain dragons are more predisposed to follow the lead of certain others. Enter Zaxon, a "prince of the lair." Zaxon is "in charge of" many of those who fall just beyond Marth's range and abilities, including many with odd or small jobs, in the grand scheme of things. He is charismatic and kind, if young and often idealistic in his goals, but the dragons who (sort of) fall under his "rule" at least sort of begrudgingly accept him as a leader. After all, his heritage is unknown; that just means he really could be a prince, couldn't it? Behind him, Throve shakes their head, as if to say don't encourage him. This, as if Throve themself had not accepted the position of being his Royal Guard. |
