Some say a plague dragon is the last dragon you should have as a chef. After all Plague dragons have the heinous curse of being labelled as disease-ridden no matter where they go. If you asked Safari though, a plague dragon is the only dragon capable of being a true chef. Their natural immunity to disease and insight into how to recycle and consume even the most foul of foods makes them great at putting together grub. This bogsneak isn't as well-travelled as others in the fleet but she has an encyclopedia of recipes in her mind, of which she's eager to test out. With fiery claws from the Flamecaller herself Safari will cook up anything you want eat. Her recipes are imbued with resistant magic- to bulk up the immune systems of all who consume her dishes.

Safari is the Head Chef for House Wavecaller. She spends most of her days in the kitchen cooking grand buffets to be served at Lunch and Dinner times. When not in the kitchen she's usually found around the First Isle's Market. She needs to find only the freshest ingredients after all. On occasion she'll even go hunting for fresh fish herself and has a small but private vegetable garden outside of her room. She also runs cooking classes for Exalt Trainees or Hatchlings every so often. In Safari's mind all dragons should know at least a little bit of how to cook. It's somewhat appalling to her that some of the members of her House have never touched a stove before. How else are they going to survive if they can't even throw together a basic stew? Alas if they have no interest in learning Safari won't push herself to teach them. She'd rather hone the skills of those interested in what she has to offer than waste her time with unteachable dragons.

Safari

Descending very distantly from Hakuku and Khimera, Safari inherited the Demigod gene. Immortal, but cursed to have the shade constantly tormenting her, she quickly fled from the plaguelands where she was born. There in the Abiding Boneyard the Shade is ruthless and spreads easily. Taking to the sea the yellow bogsneak boarded the Abyssal Fleet and served as a cook. When it later would be destroyed she was one of the scarce few members of the cooking crew who survived. The others shortly died after arriving on the Isles leaving Safari as the only Original Chef left from the old clan.

When she was very young, before fleeing the Plaguelands for good she took a trip to the Ashfall Wastes. Nobody can be certain what the real story is but when she returned from her journey her claws were blazing orange. She could simply slice through metals and enemies with flame touched nails making her a dragon other plague-born avoided. She has claimed since then that her fiery claws are a gift from Flamecaller and even has a little totem of the Fire Deity on her at all times.

Bamboo Leaves Casserole

Cooking Time: 100 minutes.

Ingredient list:

300g of Bamboo Leaves
200g of Tree Gecko
400g of Watermelon
100g of Juneflower

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, grease a large casserole dish.
Season generously with Watermelon.
Chop the Juneflower roughly and scatter the pieces evenly throughout the dish.
Mash the Tree Gecko in a bowl until it has a smooth consistency before adding.
Pre-cook the Bamboo Leaves in a pan until it begins to caramelize, then layer into it the dish.
Place your dish into the middle rack of the oven and cook until the filling is bubbling. Enjoy!
