Bumble joined Khaadgrim's patrol to explore Sornieth shortly after growing old enough to travel. The Ice gaoler had been exploring the modern world, as their kind was unfamiliar with how much the world had changed since their time. He'd been born outside of Ice unlike many of his kin and seen by many of the older, more traditional gaolers as a misfit for their species. However, Bumble was still a gaoler and despite possessing Shadow magic, was still quite capable of handling himself. After catching scent of a large amount of the Shade in Light, he even helped Khaadgrim and the other gaolers track it down and capture the Shade-touched gaoler. It was uncommon for this to happen to their kind but regardless, it had to be dealt with. The unnamed gaoler was subdued and prepped for travel, though they had yet to decide where to take it. It was around that time they also had a run-in with a patrol of modern breeds who'd sought to explore the ruins where they'd captured the Shade-touched dragon. After exchanging intel, Bumble went with everyone back to Plague and helped form a prison there both for their acquired target and a slumbering emperor dragon the modern dragons had brought to their attention. He mostly hung out in the background of things while Khaadgrim and Sugar Meadow settled how the place would be run- given they were acting as coleaders since they both 'founded' the prison. Once it was constructed, Bumble served as one of the guards. He lived to see a mirror pack try to attack the prison before they were taken care of- the survivors becoming prisoners as well. For the most part the job was easy. Make sure the prisoners couldn't escape, or in the emperor's case make sure it was still deep in sleep, and keep a lookout for those who might try attacking the prison- not that it happened often. It was only meant to be a routine check-in when he got infected by the Shade-touched dragon. His memories became foggy of how it happened exactly but he did his best to hide it. Eventually however, his coworkers began to suspect something was up with him and Bumble was forced to tell them. He turned himself in, putting himself in a cell before he could get worse and hurt others. Unless a cure should somehow be found, that is where he'll stay forever. bio by DeathSpecter | xxxxx |
