Asuka was born in the Shifting Expanse, but as she grew up, she had no interest in becoming an engineer. Rather, Asuka spent what time she could watching the local wildlife--or, at least, what little there was, given how ill-suited to herds and flocks the Expanse is. Once Asuka was old enough, she took off, travelling the land in search of a place she felt like she belonged. Eventually she reached the Viridian Labyrinth, coming upon a place that was perfect for raising familiars, and has been there ever since. Despite her appearance, Asuka is a gentle dragon, although if you hurt or attempt to hurt the familiars in her care, be prepared for the consequences. However, if she deems you kindhearted, Asuka will part with a familiar free of charge so long as she's certain they'd go to a good home. Asuka met her partner, a Raptorik herder, during her ventures through the Thunderhead Savannah. They quickly bonded over their love for the various creatures of Sornieth. Without them, Asuka wouldn't be able to care for as many familiars as she does. Asuka has always been different compared to other Ridgebacks, from her more varied diet to her lessened dislike of water and her lack of ‘borrowing’ that is common among the species. In other words, Asuka is a Ridgeback in appearance, but that’s where it stops. She’s never minded being different from the rest of her species, instead preferring the company of the critters she takes care of. In addition, Asuka is a conservationist and promotes the protection of endangered species. She is an enthusiastic advocate for adopting familiars from sanctuaries; although if you insist on purchasing, Asuka will give you a list of those she personally recommends. |

- Has a Hainu named Lucky who acts as her sheepdog. She had found him with a wounded leg and decided to nurse him back to health. He has stuck with her ever since.
- Always has a pouch full of treats, medicines etc on her just in case.
- Asuka keeps her claws filed so she doesn’t injure the creatures she handles.
- While she considers many of her rescues family, Asuka's 'main' familiar so to speak is (Name), a Raptorik herder she had met during her travels through the Thunderhead Savannah. Both are responsible for looking after the creatures they rescue.
