A dragon whose skin has either been completely or mostly lost, there is nothing left behind but scraps of old skin and the dragon's skeleton--exceptionally lucky individuals can keep their wings, though flight unaided by magic is difficult. These dragons are often seen as cursed or simply frightening by other clans, unsure if these are the walking dead, or somehow something even more terrifying. If a Marorek clan has one or more of these skeletal dragons in it, other clans will not step foot on their territory, and will even go out of their way to fly around the area purely out of superstition.
Dragons that have fretted over their appearance far too much will experience a strange, but rare effect on their scales. To the overuse of magic, ointments and rubbing, some Marorek will find that what skin they have left has a strange sheen to it. The skin isn't any more healthy than any other Marorek's, but due to the extreme care it's been given the skin tends to cling to the dragon's body longer. These dragons are often boastful, and will polish their exposed bone to match their remaining skin.
The same usually applies to wings. Though a bit rarer, the fortunate that still have wings sturdy enough can fly.
