🎕 Biography 🎕
- - - - -Yeonkkoch was adopted into the clan when he was very young. Growing up, he was always very curious about everything around him and what the older dragons were doing, often following them around as they worked. Naturally, as they were a hatchling at the time, the older dragons he ended up following around were usually the caretakers of the clan. It didn't take long before they started asking the older dragons questions about the tasks they were doing and if they could help out.
--- - - - - -Almost as soon as they officially graduated from the hatchling's den, Yeonkkoch asked to officially become an apprentice of the caretakers. As he had been helping the caretakers so frequently as a hatchling, he quickly settled into the role of a caretaker in the clan. Beyond learning quickly, Yeonkkoch felt that he had truly found his place and his calling. Dedicating themselves wholly to the role, they became known in the clan for being a deeply caring individual, becoming a big brother figure to many of the dragons who grew up under his care. --- - - - - -While "Head Caretaker" was never really an official role within the clan, Yeonkkoch naturally became the authority when it came to the hatchlings as the older caretakers moved on, not due to taking ownership of the role but simply because of the way he carried himself and always seemed to know exactly what was going on with the hatchlings, with everything from health and behaviour to the latest gossip. When he's not officially on duty overseeing the hatchlings, organizing activities, monitoring the nap room, or making toys, he can usually be found playing with the hatchlings or being used as a jungle gym. |

❃ Clan Role ❃
- - - - -At his core, Yeonkkoch is a born caretaker. Deeply empathetic and loving, he wants nothing but the best for the people around him. This is especially true for the hatchlings. They aren't the type of caretaker who takes on a strict mentor role, instead loving to play around with the hatchlings, taking part in games and activities that the hatchlings enjoy. He takes time to carefully make toys for the hatchlings, especially hand-stitched stuffed figures. They will sit and listen to the different stories the hatchlings want to share and participate in any tea parties they want to host without complaint, instead loving it.
--- - - - - -He believes that every hatchling deserves to have someone listen to them, care about their interests, and engage with their lives with genuine curiosity so that they can be supported to grow to be happy and confident adults. On top of his caring nature, Yeonkkoch is very playful, curious, and loves to laugh, despite not being much of a comedian himself. He's deeply affectionate with those he's close to, both in words and in actions. He loves curling up in a warm den with all of his friends and partners, collect gifts to hand out at every opportunity, and find interesting stories to share. --- - - - - -Something only those closest to him know is that he has a notebook where he writes poems and stories that he refuses to share, usually keeping it tucked deep in his nest. If one were to sneak a glance at the book, they would find it to be full of prose detailing the beauty of small moments in life; a pretty sunrise, the smell of newly bloomed flowers, the smile of a loved one, the laughter of the hatchlings... a small treasure trove of his best memories. |

- - - - -Yeonkkoch has a multitude of deep and intimate relationships with many of his clanmates - platonic, familial, and romantic. He considers these relationships to be the most important things in his life, and deeply appreciates all the time he spends with his loved ones. Their free time, when not spent playing with the hatchlings, is spent with them if at all possible. They find that simply spending time around them makes him feel happier, calm, and at peace. Being able to see that everyone is safe, happy, and healthy is deeply important to him. To Yeonkkoch, platonic and familial relationships are just as important as romantic relationships - he always makes sure that everyone in his life feels appreciated and loved, as that is the truth - they never lie about their relationships. If someone is important to them, that person knows it. If he doesn't like them, he is polite and kind as long as the courtesy is returned, but makes no show of pretending to be a friend.

- - - - -One thing to note about Yeonkkoch and their romantic relationships is that he is openly polyamorous, and has multiple romantic partners in the clan. They have, however, made an agreement with their partners that while they are all equally important to them, he will only have children with Sapphy. This isn't due to any sort of preferential treatment - more so due to a wish to keep things more simple with genetic diversity in the clan, and Sapphy was the only one of his partners who didn't have any romantic relationships with other biological males in the clan. It is largely for this reason that Sapphy is more commonly referred to as his mate, while their other partners are generally referred to as their partners. Most of Yeonkkoch's partners are fellow Flowers, as they are the members of the clan he is most commonly around due to roles that often end up overlapping. Their relationships tend to shift around and change over time, currently their partners other than Sapphy include Nami, Viola, and Panorama.

The general tradition in the Sunrise clan is that most of the members tend to bond with familiars of a similar appearance to them, finding the pairings to be quite satisfying and giving them something fun to bond over. Yeonkkoch, however, met Lou one day while out on a walk, enjoying the weather. He heard a beautiful melody coming from behind some bushes in a colourful flower field and went to investigate, being drawn in by the sound. When he saw Lou, he cautiously made himself known, assuring her that he meant no harm and was enjoying her music. They tentatively began talking and found that they got along fairly well. Yeonkkoch, after several hours of conversation, invited her back to the clan once he was sure that she would pose no threat to his clanmates. When he returned, some of the hatchlings were quite upset after a treasured toy was broken in a scuffle. Lou, who had followed him as she didn't know what else to do, ended up using her hum to help calm down the hatchlings, helping to lull the chaos and allow Yeonkkoch to more easily resolve the situation. After that, he asked if she would be interested in staying with him and become his familiar. Since that day Yeonkkoch has been deeply grateful to their familiar, and they both share a strong relationship, bonding over their care for the hatchlings. Lou loves being part of the clan, and being able to bring peace to the hatchlings.
