Biography
Return to TheDeathSeer, do not exalt
Lore level: 20
Title: Neptune of Wind and War
(Previously known as Nils)
Personality: Loyal, brave, honorable
Duty:Clan Leader, Head of War and Strategy, Ambassador of Wind Flight
Mate: Cascade
Battlebond: The Windflight Clan
Origin: AoiNoRyuu's Clan
Blood (if applicable): Highest 1 (by law)
Intent:
To serve his clan and his son as best as he can, as past injuries have weakened him in battle
To thank Moonbeam and Dewey for welcoming him into the Clan as a young hatchling
To enforce the rules and stop all trying to break them
To pass down his wisdom to his son, Nils, and mate, Cascade
To train the warriors of the Windflight Clan to be the strongest possible
To trust Shadow, Slither, Alata and Rahd with the leadership of the Windflight Army
Biography:
Neptune, known as Nils as a hatchling, knew from a young age that he did not have a place in his large birth clan and set out to find a Clan that would take him in and treat him well. On his journeys, he found a Clan not far from his birth clan that was looking for new recruits. Nils was accepted in and decided to change his name to Neptune, forgetting his past as Nils and looking to start a new life in the Windflight Clan.
Several months later, nearly full-grown, Neptune was appointed as one of the five leaders of the Windflight Clan and head of battle. And how could he say no? He came here looking for a place where he'd feel and be important, and this was his chance.
Neptune, locked in combat with a large Ridgeback, watched as the reinforcements arrived and drove his opponent away. No enemy was left on the battlefield but Aneira, who tried her best to hide her fear now that she was completely outnumbered.
Just then, a large Guardian cloaked in a red wolf pelt charged towards the smirking Wildclaw, but Ulic warned her not to.
Neptune didn't listen, though. The strikingly blue Skydancer lunged toward his opponent, attempting to pin her to the ground, but the Wildclaw was slightly larger than Neptune.
To Gaia's dismay, Aneira raised a claw and punched the blue dragon, sending him crashing into a boulder.
Neptune lay still with his eyes closed, although he still seemed to be breathing.
Of course, it wasn't all fun and games for everyone. Tensions were rising among the Windflight Council as they ended up catching word of the death of Spike. Neptune was already in a bad state, but he now resorted to blaming himself for the casualties. Stealth often unsympathetically threw rude comments at the Skydancer, going behind others' backs to call him a bad planner.
The next day, as Wrendal settled into Windflight Clan (Polar said he could stay at Diamond's house for now), Nils had gone to visit Neptune at the Healer's.
"Nils, I haven't spoken to a soul about this. But Stealth is right. I think it's time I stepped down as Leader."
"Nonsense. If there's anything I've learned from you, Neptune, it's that grave mistakes will be made. Stonehall wouldn't want this, if she were here."
"I killed her."
"Stealth did. And I hear how he's been bad-mouthing you. It's bad sportsdragonship."
"I killed Spike, too. If only I had been more organized."
"There's no good in wishing the past was different. It won't be the same without Spike, but now, we need to focus on recovering and restoring the Clan. It needs all of us in good shape."
"I taught you well, didn't I, son?"
"Both you and I. But listen to me. Please don't step down. It will tarnish your name as well."
"I've already considered my successor. I think you'll like who I picked."
"...well, I can't fully change your mind, dad, but please, give it a thought. This is an important decision."
"Never did I think I'd see the day where my son had the courage to boss me around." Neptune grinned.

During his stay at the First Outpost...
The Strategy Council was formed, and he was selected as the Master of Patrol. He selected Aikoun, Fog, Berry, and Quem to head all-day patrols. Fog under significant pressure from Inferno--Fog being the descendent of an allied clan's leaders was reason enough to keep her behind the front lines.
