Seren

Sometimes, larger dragons have trouble noticing any of the hatchlings in the clan. It's not their fault; some of those hatchlings are smaller than their hand! But it's impossible to miss Seren. Mostly because Seren never misses a big target. He leaps down from a hiding spot on high and goes straight for the face, his tiny claws bouncing uselessly off the big dragon's scales. But Seren won't be deterred – he'll never become a mighty warrior if he doesn't take on every challenger! And to Seren, being bigger than him is a direct challenge. So is being smaller. He'll fight a bug if it looks at him funny.

(Seren misses faster dragons all the time. A spiral or fae will easily dodge out of the way and let him crash into the ground.)

Of course, it's much more fun to fight bugs for a cause. And Seren sure does have a cause. A cause named Endboss, who entranced him with a very powerful speech full of big words he didn't understand. Seren has no idea what an empire is, but Endboss made them sound like a pretty good thing to have. He'll fight the world if it means he gets to have some empire too.

But Seren knows he'll need to be bigger and stronger before he can fight everyone in Sornieth. Big like the clan guard! Seren idolizes them – especially Levant and Sirene. They battle with each other constantly, each trying to prove they're the stronger of the two. One day, Seren will show them that he's stronger than them both combined! Then he'll be the one throwing them around the room, like how he gets thrown out a window whenever he challenges one of them to a fight.

Endboss doesn't tolerate failure, so Seren always claims he intends to get thrown out windows. Seren's pretty sure she knows he's lying though, so he needs to figure out some way to become more powerful, and fast. For most dragons, that would be through magic, but Seren doesn't seem to have much talent for that. Spellcasting is Enboss's thing anyways, and Seren's a minion, not a rival. No, if Seren's not going to grow up soon, he'll need to find some other way to be big and strong.

Like a robot! Simoeis exists, so there's no reason Seren can't have a robot body to pilot around, right? Well, Simoeis probably wouldn't appreciate him hollowing her out and installing some piloting controls, but there's other robots in the clan. Such as the ones Lumisa makes. Those are built for war. And they explode all the time, which is extra fun! Maybe if he asks Lumisa really nicely, she'll let him ride one into battle...

Right, steal one, sorry Endboss. Seren's not quite used to the whole 'evil' thing yet.

Seren recently earned his first combat win after ambushing Quant from atop a bookshelf and defeating the aether in a fateful duel. It was a good fight — Seren knows this because Quant was screaming fierce battle cries the entire time. Quant was also just crying normally and rolling around on the ground as Seren pulled at his antennae. The first glorious victory of many for the great Seren!
