Asa was a powerful mage, once. One wouldn't think it, what with his current inability to use elemental magic, but in his heyday as a warlock he would harness a different element to the Ice his pale eyes would suggest. Asa was power hungry. He wanted dominance and control, and he would use any means necessary to achieve it... Until he no longer could. One fateful morning, just before dawn, Asa tried his most risky magical gamble yet. He'd told no-one, sure that they would restrain him and prevent him from carrying it out, and that was what made his return to the clan after everything went awry all the more sour. The magical pulse had mutated his genetic code, causing his entire physiology to lose all colour, apart from the fissures of crystal that sparked across his body. A knock-on effect of this was the fact that nobody could recognise him. Instead, they thought he had murdered the clan "mage", somehow. Needless to say, Asa fled as fast as his wings would carry him. He fled for days on end, until he reached the shore- there was nowhere further to go, but he was sure he'd lost the mob of angry dragons who had been tailing him. Even still, the journey had taken a lot out of him, and he was close to collapsing when he spotted a lone green Skydancer pacing the beach in front of him. This dragon was most likely his last hope of survival, not just because of the fact they were the only two dragons for miles, but also because of the shimmering, metallic green presence next to him... Asa's failed experiment had also forcibly ripped out part of his soul and formed it into what he learned was called a Stand. He had taken a short rest in an old shaman's hut in the middle of nowhere to avoid the rain, and he noticed the purple squid creature sliding itself in the front door and along the floor with its tentacles. The shaman saw it, too, and told him everything. Asa collapsed at the green Skydancer's feet and used the last of his strength to beg for refuge, and also to keep his colourless eyes open long enough to catch a proper glimpse of the young dragon's Stand.
