they say that those with tarnish-like feather patterns along their body features unique abilities. aalihte was no exception. he has never been truly alone, because even when no living creature is around him, the spirits of the dead linger and aalihte is a magnet to them. though growing up with them did not make him empathetic to death, but instead, apathetic.

he hated the colors of his wings, and he hated the attention that the tarnish feathers brought. he simply wanted to be alone, with only his birds and the spirits to keep him company. he'd try to cover up what he could with bones and feathers of those he killed in battle, and thus creating a weird collection.

once he was ready to set off on his own, he didn't have to travel far to find his place. his natural ability to draw in spirits and commune with them has attracted the attention of yet another apparition, though this one seemed more than alive. altalaquh had offered him a spot in her lair as the newest executioner. it was the perfect role for him as it allowed him to create more spirits -albeit angry - to follow him, and more bones to collect.
