🙘hhBACKSTORY hhhEvery royal household needs a portrait artist. Or so Horus was told when he was hired at the palace of Lair Splendor. He had been doing freelance work around the Sunbeam Ruins for a couple of years when he stumbled upon the gorgeous, centuries-old castle and was warmly welcomed by the queen and her court. Now he's been here a few months and is starting to get the feeling he's only still here because everyone thinks he's so pretty. Sure, he puts a lot of effort into his appearance, but that's not his only redeeming facet! The constant stares and comments get old...he knows his value is deeper than that. Whatever, he's here to make money, not to make friends. 🙘hhPERSONALITY hhhHorus is quite talkative, and loves telling people about the latest performances he's seen in town. Clients love to commission him partly because he's very entertaining to talk to while you're holding very still for a professional portrait, and partly because he himself is a work of art. He's always kind and never shows when he's uncomfortable or doesn't like someone. His deepest secrets are saved for him and him alone, but he's starting to form a bond with Khedrid. 🙘hhDAILY LIFE hhhWhen Horus is on commission at the palace, he works tirelessly during the day. All of his supplies are completely portable, and he prefers to do each commission in the client's room. He can usually finish a painting in two or three sessions. What entertains Horus at night are theaters, clubs, exotic shows, bizarre markets, and everything else about the night life in the cities near Splendor. He gets to see all his friends outside the castle, there's pretty much no one he's close with within Splendor. He's known for being out late and springing right back in the morning for some painting! |
