Traveling Trader

In his travels, Yomi has seen... many things. He's see the incredible kites of the wind dragons, the archives of the light dragons, the secret gardens of the nature clans, and the darkest secrets of his own clan--shadow. But even as he sees, he does not judge. It's not his place to determine what's meant to be protected. Never has been, never will be. Instead, it's his place to protect.

Yomi has never been strong with arcane arts, nor has he been possessed by a particularly devilish desire to trick and injure others. All he desires--all he was built to desire--is the protection of what others and he himself see as important.

This clan is not like the others. They do not order him to be a sentinel to the vault of riches, or guard their young. Instead, the clan's leader told him protect what you see deserving of protection and left it at that. At first, Yomi was worried about her statements--how was he supposed to protect what he found important when material things meant nothing to him? But soon, he learned, the definition of "material things" was flexible.

Months after first joining the clan, Yomi found what was his to protect. Trade secrets. The materials needed to make and create things. For, like him--a dragon made of machine, oil and steel--these creations were nothing more than a pile of parts animated by something. In his case, he was animated by a heart. But in the case of these things, they were animated with magic, and a little bit of something else he could only describe as "care to the utmost degree."

So this is where he sits, and what he guards, silent and unmoving only until someone comes to talk to him, or invite him to dinner, or remind him that here, he is more than a machine. He's part of the clan, and has a place he belongs.

Yomigami's old bio:
Let me tell you a story you won't will forget.

Yomigami's unique pattern recalls traditional artistic depictions of the flight deities, and while one would be foolish to worship him as their equal, he has grown in tangent with the inherent sense of pride and nobility that this status affords him. This is not to suggest that Yomigami is pompous, or even disagreeable in nature. One would be hard-pressed to find a dragon of a kinder disposition. In fact, one might be hard-pressed to find Yomigami at all. As if on cue, his only appearance in clans within the realms tend to be on nights during which the moon is practically swelling from its full size...with some appearances apparently happening concurrently across flight realms.

His first recorded appearance lays within the records of Arcane realm clan Mavenlark, during which he appeared in the dead of night at their refugee camp, trading fairy-tale-like stories of other worlds around a firepit to those in attendance. Since then, he has been seen in even the furthermost reaches of the Icewarden's realm, always with the same purpose - storytelling and general joviality. His presence commands respect, even from the haughtiest dragons.

He directs the bulk of his kindness towards hatchlings, for whom he has displayed infinite patience. Many excitedly await the coming of the moon, a celebration in most clans regardless of Yomigami, in hopes that he will appear.

He has also been known to leave young ones gifts of original stories that they alone remember, regardless if full-grown dragons are present when he tells them. And yet, when they age, these stories disappear, no matter what - even the very paper they are sometimes written on by determined younglings mysteriously go missing.

He is the color of freshly whipped cream with the lightest touch of a strawberry nougat center. Age: Ask the moon for her assistance on this matter.
