"It was if you could float on the sea. . . Oh? I'm daydreaming again?"

People recall him as charming and pleasant figure who keeps his subtle composure around others. For someone who seemed to rule the world, his desires seemed so much simpler under that notion. What was expected in a god nowadays was the trading deal, or "you worship me and I will grant your desires," or whatever the silly priests came up with. . . His idea of proving these theories wrong by serving others with kindness attracted his followers. Even despite clicking with a lot of people, he isn't as burdened or swarmed as a celebrity in Sornieth would seem to be.

"What's wrong? Is something not going in the right direction?"

Originally he lived in Singer's Brook, living in harmony with the serene and divine beauty of the land around him. Over his years there he grew restless, unable to fullt communicate with others since his boredom grew with every second. Some began resenting his behavior which lead to him feeling like an outcasr in the clans he visited. Every now and then two Guardians would pass by one of the clans in his area. . . sparking his curiosity with the tales they told about arcane mysteries and fiery battles. Nothing caught his eye more than the Coatls who had been through war, speaking of the sky blistering and divine warriors battling at the borders in the east. . . It all mesmerized his world.

He hadn't discovered his true self or his abilities at this time, and it wasn't until later that he'd see the first glimpses of it. Upon his arrival at the next city's gates while traveling with a few dryads, he encountered hostile soldiers guarding the entrance. A close friend of his stood at the gates trying to negotiate with the guard but it turned bleak swiftly.

"We would only like to pass through the city and be on our way," started Helitos, the nearly fed-up Fae whose eyes glittered with light as they turned their head up to the beating sun, the Ridgeback guard sneering. "If there are any problems your soldiers can escort us out immediately, but I swear on Father Wind we will be out as soon as possible."

Growling and snarling, the Ridgebacks who towered over the group exchanged snide looks. It'd been hours in the hot sun for both the guards and the group which lead tensions to boil. Upon nodding to her companion, the Ridgeback closest to the Fae stepped forwards to roar directly in their face. Uncomfortable by the smell of rotten fish stinking through the Ridgeback's teeth, Helitos stepped back towards the carriage behind them.

A snap of a rope on the carriage broke the fragile moment and sent the Ridgebacks into an frenzy, raising their weapons to attack. Helitos, who stood closest to these dragons, had little time to dodge the attacks and thus was petrified with fear. Aither had been leaning against the carriage and watching carefully. Despite his hesitancy at the towering stature of the Ridgebacks, he decided that there was nothing left to lose and he had to do something. Fueled by adrenaline the Nocturne used his claws to hold back the humongous shield that intended to knock the closest dragons back on the ground. Wood splintered into his scales as he tried to figure out his next move. . . Before he could act, he was slashed in the shoulder by the tip of an iron spear.

His wound dripped a viscous lime green blood onto the dirt trail; this wasn't even brought to his attention until after the fight, which was speculated to be the reason it all went down so abruptly. A barreling gust of wind began forming around the ridgebacks and Aither in a circle, forming an at first timid whirlwind that burst into a roaring tornado. It pounded at the ears of the dragons, even Aither affected by the whistling. The clearing was filled with the Everything felt a little wobbly to him for a few moments as life seemed to leave and re-enter his body, with a horrified scream from the soldier before him.

His eyes lit up with streams of wispy green wind. The tornado vanished and the soldiers and Aither collapsed on the earth beneath it. Helitos padded over to the poor Nocturne on the ground.

Despite being unconscious and defenseless. . . several of the other members of the group refused to go near them. It was between the empty eyes with wind and clouds pouring out of them to the shock of the abilities this dragon had that lead them to become wary of his presence. Helitos glared at the Guardians and a Skydancer couple that refused to even step more than ten feet near him. The Fae lifted up the Nocturne and set him inside the carriage to rest, giving him one last wary look before they turned to the slowly-opening gates of the city.

Upon awakening he would discover memories he didn't have before. Communications with divine entities. Those beings with him in certain phases of his life, though he couldn't recall anyone being there before. All this was overwhelming, though through meeting with scholars in the Wind territory did he learn stories of dragons who had arisen to become godlike... like he was becoming.

With this newfound knowledge, he turned to help the people of each of the clans across Sornieth, not asking for much in return. There was something else inside of him though that drove his need to help even further. Maybe it was how alone he felt, not knowing who to turn to. Or perhaps it was a desire to settle down and cement himself somewhere.

Someone would need to be found. A friend, or more.
