Biography
» T U N D R E U S «
While some might describe Tundreus as selfish, reckless, and egotistical, the Tundra prides himself in these traits and will argue at length if you accuse him of needlessly disrupting the status-quo. He just wants to have fun, and perhaps, earn some treasure along the way. Tundreus doesn’t mean to manipulate those he interacts with. His behavior comes from a life of scavenging and dismantling things that don’t belong to him. Tundreus seems friendly enough, but every compliment from him is usually followed by a favor. Unfortunately for him, fellow dragons aren't as predictable as machines.

"What’s the worst that could happen?" — Tundreus
|
Tundreus grew up in a family of tinkers, all scavenging the Shifting Expanse for parts. Most of the daily delves were fruitless, for the mysterious structures half-hidden in the sand were stripped of their valuable metals and trinkets. But the mere existence of such structures led the Tundra to seek out more. The desert’s harsh environment was a natural result of the Stormcatcher’s presence, but Tundreus had a theory that there might be more to the sandstorms that interrupted his daily walks. Everyone knew about the mysterious reactor from ages past, and if technology had progressed to such a feat, perhaps there lay something special beneath the dunes. He set out alone to seek his fortune. |
As years passed and Tundreus grew more adept at identifying salvageable materials and how to use them, he was met with a bit of resistance when he let slip to a comrade that he preferred selling his plunders rather than making use of it. Simply put, he was straying from the tinker’s way. Tundreus made the decision to part with his tinker troupe officially and set his sights on the Sunbeam Ruins. There were more ruins there, and with it, the potential for riches. Tundreus has been working for a scholar there, offering his services in exchange for tips to treasure caches. When news of the labyrinth were murmured through the Ruins, Tundreus didn’t bat an eye. Earth dragons were discovering things underneath the land at an increasing rate. It wasn’t until his sponsor handed him a pamphlet advertising an exclusive expedition that he considered taking the discovery seriously. Perhaps this place hadn’t been picked clean yet by the tourists. |
