name meaning: noble, sublime, elevated, gracious, beautiful.

’dark, mysterious, yet golden and glowing with the beauty held within. shadowy mist fills the air and swallows its path whole. a dragon emerges. glinting with the embrace of tinkling trinkets held along her body.’

- aliana, the gorgeous goddess of splendor holds her pride as close to her chest as she holds her precious pearl.

- the enchanted pearl shimmers with the pulses of life she delivers to needy souls that surround Sornieth. she moves as if she is nothing but the wind, flowing with each step.

- is that a flutter of wings? the leaves rustle and the breeze is stopped. aliana may only appear to those who are patient enough to watch her.

- she adores her children and cares for them for all her hours. she enjoys making intricate jewelry and spends every waking minute crafting new indulgences as wispy, flowery shadows surround her once more.

she disappears once again.

@KyuuBird - I hope you like it! I worked really hard on it! :)

Aliana was not born a Pearlcatcher. In fact, she was one of the Lightweaver's first creations- an Imperial. But... a faulty one. The Light Goddess already began to realize the issues with her children as she made more of them, with each being less and less perfect, further away from her initial image of them. Aliana was one of these. Her power was immense, rivalling her Mother's, but only because she was imperfect due to corruption; Just like the void, she absorbed energy and light, storing it inside of herself, consuming more and more each day as she grew, and corrupting that energy that she had inside of her to the point that it turned into void itself. It stained her eyes black and her irises' color, once golden, bright and luminous, were now white and cold.

The LightMother knew something was terribly wrong, but only took action when her Children began to rise up from the dead as mindless monstrosities. So... She began to kill them. She could not eliminate them all, they had spread out too much, but in the time she had, Imperials began to disappear en masse. Aliana knew she was a prime target for this mass killing spree, not only because she was an Imperial, but due to her status as "unstable" and "potentially Shade touched". The Imperial, young at the time, panicked greatly- she didn't want to die! She- she couldn't help being how she was! Aliana hid away from the Lightweaver henceforth, and devised a plan to avoid detection; the main issue was her appearance. With black sclera and white irises, as well as liquid, corrupted light magic swirling in her chest... She wasn't hard to find. But Aliana was determined, scared, and angry.

Aliana, knowing that her accumulated magic wasn't enough, armed herself in confidence and anger, and set off to face the Goddess of Light head-on. She had the backing of a small handful of enraged Imperials already, too, but she promised she'd do this alone. So, after seeking out the giant luminous wyrm, Aliana set her plan into motion....

And the results exploded into proportions she never anticipated. The combination of the Goddess' magic and Aliana's, which was definitely corrupted by a certain entity, caused a magical backlash that hit the young Imperial square on, and altered her so intensely that, to this day, the ones that saw the events call the sight as "having seen the birth of a new god". She absorbed part of the Lightweaver's magic and fused it with her own, her appearance changed drastically, and, before the LightMother could recover from the bright explosion, Aliana and her small group of Imperials had simply... vanished.

Aliana is quiet and thoughtful, taking solace in herself more than anything else. She is often found meditating in secret places within temples or gardens. She uses this downtime to think about her mission, as well as craft ideas.
