______ An artist from Dragonhome hatched in the Cairnstone Reach Daub has been inspired by the ancient cave paintings and the wealth of gemstones in his nest of origin. With bright feathers liberally marked with swirls of rust red this Coatl has an eye for color. Using bright pigments made from various fruits, minerals and crushed shells he adorns the walls of the sleeping chambers with representations of the Lair's history. He uses his own claw tips and stray feathers to form brushes, as well as any stray hairs gathered by more mobile dragons. Daub spends most of his time in quiet contemplation, standing motionless and examining a patch of wall before being struck by a creative frenzy of inspiration and working continuously on a painting. He is rather absent-minded and prone to forgetting to eat when he is in a creative frenzy.

______ Daub is as flighty as a Spiral, with that breeds tendency towards distraction. He often spends long periods in 'meditation' focusing on some small aspect at exclusion of everything else, trying to draw in its essence, these tend to be the only periods when he is not filled with life and motion. He likes bold primary colors that resemble his coloring and, to Sunny's despair, can always be seen in his shabby paint-stained artist's smock dusted with hairs from his Smokey Bantam Fangar, Brush. The coatl's claws have been stained with paint for so long they are a near permanent red, his favorite color. Once every few months or so when the Heartbreaker rolls into the docks Daub can be seen out walking with the captain of the Skyship Raider Valentine. The shabby artist and the immaculate pirate captain seem to have little in common but both share a mutual appreciation for the beauty of nature and a romanticism that ignores the difference in their occupations. Daub doesn't seem to mind Valentine is often away, he cherish the time they do have while he has it.
