Biography
Name: Maleval Rayvenkin
Race: Black Dragonborn
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Class: Paladin
Sacred Oath: Oath of the Crown
Deity: Silvanus- Neutral God of Wild Nature
Holy Symbol: A shimmering oak leaf pendant that appears to be made from an actual leaf, but somehow never tears or withers.
Background:
At first glance, most people would mistake her for a white dragonborn. This is because Maleval is leucistic; she has partial loss of pigmentation in her scales and as such the majority of them appear white. Due to this condition whatever black scales she does have are interspersed with grey and silver, making it harder for them to stand out.
Upon closer inspection, however, one can see that there are a smattering of darker scales along the right side of her face. These look almost like slash marks and some even run across her muzzle. Maleval also has patches of dark scales running along the tops of both her hands and feet, as well as her shoulders, spine, hips, tail and chest. Her claws are all black, both on her hands and feet.
Maleval's gums are a pale pink, as is most of her tongue; the tip however is a vile green, betraying her true draconic bloodline. The back of her throat is also the same acidic green while the rest is pink. Her eyes are an intense, vibrant green with a lighter acidic shade around the pupils.
Maleval is strongly built and her snout is long and full of ridiculously sharp teeth. Various scars litter her body, the most notable being those across both shoulder blades and the area between them, almost as if something large had attempted to gouge out chunks of her flesh.
Despite being a Paladin, the one thing Maleval truly prays for above all else is a love as true at that of her parents. Dievos is her father and Eficent is her mother; he was a black dragonborn druid and she was an ancient fae cursed to remain in the form of a winged Tiefling. Originally coming together for mutual safety and gain, the two grew to care for each other and eventually learned to love themselves for what they were. They made each other better and adored their daughter when she was born.
Overall, Maleval's oath is to her family first; they rule over a large section of woodlands that are teeming with both wild creatures and fey. When she was old enough Maleval became one of their knights and as such is tasked with helping to protect the wilds from encroaching civilization. She is their people's sentinel, and though she may wander far to complete her task, in the end she will always find her way back home into her parents' waiting arms.
